Metrograph Pictures has pre-bought the movie for North America.

Miroirs No. 3 follows Laura (frequent Petzold collaborator Paula Beer), a piano student from Berlin, who survives a car accident during a weekend in the countryside. Though uninjured, she is left psychologically shaken and is taken in by a local woman who witnesses the crash. As Laura becomes part of the household — alongside the woman’s husband and adult son — the four begin to form a fragile familial bond. However, the harmony is short-lived, as buried histories come to the surface and Laura must confront her own unresolved past.

The film marks Petzold’s fourth collaboration with Beer, who received the Silver Bear for Best Actress at Berlinale 2020 for her role in Undine. Beer is joined by Barbara Auer (The Book Thief, Yella), Matthias Brandt (Transit, Farewell to Europe), and Enno Trebs (Afire, The White Ribbon).

Miroirs No. 3 was produced by Schramm Film Koerner Weber Kaiser in co-production with ZDF and Arte.
