Bower plays Skiff the Railboat, who gives tours around Arlesburgh Harbour. While he was only in 6 episodes over a span of 5 years, the was able to make the most of the role. Skiff is a fun-loving adventure seeker, but his owner treats him horribly. Considering his previous roles, playing a sailboat in a children's show seemed like a stretch but proved to only enhance Bower's career.
Camelot - 6.5

Bringing to life one of the greatest fantasy worlds ever created, Camelotfocuses on King Arthur's rise to rule after his father unexpectedly passed away. Originally an unmotivated slacker, Bower's interpretation of Arthur makes a viewer root for him over his bloodlust-driven sister, Morgan, who was sent away and disowned.

What seems like a feel-good story actually turns tragic in several different spots, but the pace of the show is steady. Bower shows Arthur's maturing side and allows growth for the once man-child of the series.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald - 6.5

From jumping out of a window in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1toexpanding on the character of Gellert Grindelwald, Bower makes his statement as the younger version of the title character. Bringing depth and emotion to the previously evil seeming powerful wizard, the actor pulls out all the stops without uttering a single word.

The famous mirror scene shows just how strong of a bond Dumbledore and Grindelwald have. Even though they have fallen out over the years, Dumbledore cannot bring himself to fight Grindelwald no matter how much the wizarding world depends on it, and the facial expressions by Bower make a viewer feel the tension and love between them.
Will - 6.6

While Will only had one season, Bower's part as the famous Elizabethan playwright Christopher "Kit" Marlowe was meaningful and unforgettable.Not much is known about Marlowe, but historians have speculated about the figure for centuries, includingentertaining the idea that William Shakespeare was inspired by him. Will brings those speculations to life in this period drama.

Bower takes risks with this role, showing the charming, captivating, indulgent, selfish, and defiant side of Marlowe that many choose not to acknowledge. He plays the devil side of his friendship with Will, encouraging him to indulge and give in to his desires, as uncouth as they sometimes are.

A box office flop, Anonymous failed to dazzle audiences due to its numerous historical inaccuracies, including the Oxfordian theory of Shakespeare authorship,which is the idea that Edward de Vere, Earl of Oxford, wrote all of William Shakespeare's plays, poems, and sonnets.

Bower was praised for his performance as the younger Edward. Through him, we see the sly and cunning ways that Edwardmanipulated othersinto doing what he wants, including having an affair with one of Queen Elizabeth's ladies and getting away with murder. Love him or hate him, Bower brings the Earl to life and begs the question: was Shakespeare a Fraud?
Winter in Wartime 7.0

One of the best Norwegian films of the late 2000s, Winter in Wartime,tells the story of a Dutch boy named Michiel who assists the Dutch resistance during WWII.An airman named Jack, played by Bower, is injured in the middle of the forest after a plane crash.

Jack is a multifaceted character and his motives are always in question. He is presented as a charming stranger that was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was a victim of a kill-or-be-killed mentality after taking the life of a German soldier. Starring as Mick Jagger, Bower's role focuses on his relationship withPrincess Margaret, much to the annoyance of the Queen. He plays up Mick Jaggers's eccentricities in only 22 minutes of airtime, but after the unfortunate controversy of casting Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson, the damage had been done and viewership plummeted.
RocknRolla 7.3

This gangster movie cult classic has an all-star main cast and a strong supporting cast.RocknRolla had mixed reviews for the plot, but the acting was praised and isone ofIdris Elba's top ten movies. The film also stars Gerald Butler, Tom Wilkinson, Ludacris, and Bower as Rocker.
Even though he is only in one scene, it is a funny one as Bower's mannerisms when asking for dry ice from Mickey are guaranteed to tickle the funny bone. The equally entertaining response from Ludacris (Mickey) makes an audience want more of the banter.

Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 7.3

Anthony Hope was Bower's first movie role and his characterization as the naïve and simple sailor created fangirls around the globe. In the corrupted world of London, he has the misfortune of meeting Sweeny Todd but still looks for the beautiful things in life. Bower's vocal performance is mesmerizing as it is sensual, a contrast to the darker parts of the musical.
Having that much of an impact on fanswhile being part of a popular musical that also starred Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp, Bower is worthy of a standing ovation and the praise he has received for his portrayal.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 - 7.7

The saying "There are no small parts, just small actors" rings true for Bower's highest-ranked role, Gellert Grindelwald. First, Hermione sees him on a Chocolate Frog Card. Then we see him during an episode of Occlumency between Harry and Voldermort when Grindelwald is jumping out the window, taking the Elder Wand with him.
Though both appearances are brief and no dialogue is spoken, they are important, and it takes a talented actor like Bower to be memorable. Grindelwald is the driving force behind Voldermort and his rise to power as he shows the Dark Lord where the Elder Wand is in the Fantastic Beast storyline.Deathly Hallows Part 1 perfectly sets up the prerequisite to the mind of Gellert Grindelwald.
